How do I know my interpreter is qualified?
Are you able to assess the
skills of your interpreter? What is their experience? Just because
someone once learned some sign language or is
from another non-English speaking country doesn’t mean they are
a qualified interpreter. A qualified interpreter has been trained in
the skill of interpreting or translating and has documented experience.
All Fluent interpreters have proven and documented credentials and are
trained in the field of interpreting. In addition, all Fluent onsite interpreters
are managed and monitored by the Director of Interpreting and Translation who is
a nationally-certified American Sign Language interpreter with more than
22 years of interpreting experience. All Fluent staff interpreters receive
specialized training to enhance and improve their skill set in an effort
to maintain the highest levels of qualification.

How will Fluent help me provide effective communication?
Fluent can assist you with whatever needs you might have. If you need onsite
interpreting, Fluent can often provide services in less than 60 minutes
in Spanish or American Sign Language. Since Fluent has the largest staff
of interpreters in the Southeast, we were able to cover more than 98% of the
onsite interpreting requests we have received since 1994.
If you have a brief meeting, Fluent telephone interpreting can help you
communicate effectively. In less than 45 seconds, any day, any time,
you can have an interpreter available in over 180 different languages
at a cost you can afford. Even if you have a staff interpreter, Fluent
telephone interpreting services can serve as a back-up when you need
some extra help.
Fluent can also provide video
interpreting for instances when emergency services need to be provided
in less than 15 minutes. Imagine having
access to a nationally-certified ASL interpreter anytime just by making
one call and pushing the “on” button. Fluent can make it happen!
Fluent document translations can take the guesswork out of whether your
forms or instructions are being understood. Since Fluent translations are
read and proofread a minimum of three times, you can be sure that your
words are accurate and represent the message you want to convey.
